This renovation project in the heart of downtown Manteo focused on restoring safety, structure, and longevity to a severely deteriorated second-story balcony. Years of water damage and wood rot had compromised the framing and support system, creating a potential hazard for the building’s tenants and visitors. Our team performed a full structural rebuild—removing damaged joists, replacing framing with pressure-treated lumber, and reinforcing the load-bearing supports to meet current safety standards. The balcony was finished with new decking, fascia, and trim to complement the building’s historic brick façade, maintaining its coastal charm while ensuring modern safety and durability.
